Carolina Battery Institute Receives Battery Assembly Equipment Donation
Carolina Battery Institute Inc. (CBI) received a donation of battery assembly equipment from Wellcos Corporation, a leading global equipment company. The equipment donated to CBI will be utilized to support increasing workforce development for clean energy manufacturing in the Carolinas. By providing the students with enhanced training and hands-on experience with state-of-the-art technology, this generous contribution will aid CBI in its pursuit to strengthen the local talent pool and drive advancements in the clean energy sector. The upcoming training classes provided through CBI are “Lithium-Ion Battery Manufacturing” from 9/7 to 10/5/2024 with Guilford Technical Community College, and “Lithium-Ion Battery Testing” from 10/1 to 10/31/2024 with Forsyth Technical Community College.
